These websites contain icons or topics on its home page. The home page is the first page that opens when you go to the site.

Step 1 – Open the web browser by clicking on the icon on your desktop.
Step 2 – Take your cursor to the address bar which is the top most part of the browser.
Step 3 – Sometimes, the address of the browser might be on the address bar or may be, some other site’s URL which someone has just visited. So, what you can do is select or highlight it and type the website’s address on it.
Step 4 – Click ‘Enter’ and the website will open.
Step 5 – There are icons or topics on the first page. This page is called the home page of the site. You can click on these icons and get the information you need. For example, if you wish to get the contact details, then go the ‘Contact us’ icon. If it is the services you need to know about, go to ‘About us’ or the ‘Services’ icon.

For this, all you have to do is open your web browser and type a ‘keyword’ and then click on the ‘Enter’ key. There are also search engines such as Google and Yahoo. For example, if you are looking for the recipe of lasagne, you just type ‘lasagne recipe’.
You will find that a long list opens before you. These are called links and when you click on the link, it will take you to the website that contains the information you are looking for. - There is no need to type long sentences or questions. For example, if you want an information on tips to decluttering your home, you need not type, ‘How can I de clutter my home’ but just key in ‘de cluttering’ or ‘remove clutter’.
- At times, when you are not getting the information you need, you should try a different word or phrase. For example, if you have not got satisfactory results for your ‘de cluttering’ request, you can try, ‘home organization tips’, etc.
